Team Manager
Being a team manager requires time, patience, and basic knowledge of the game of baseball. You may be required to attend meetings, instructional sessions, or seminars. You will communicate with the parents/guardians of your players to inform them of any schedule changes, rainouts, and Little League events and activities. As a manager, you have more interaction with young people than anyone else in Little League. Therefore, it is important that you understand the goals and virtues of the Little League program in order to effectively communicate them to your players.
Assistant Coach
Being an assistant coach requires time, patience, and basic knowledge of the game of baseball. You will be supporting the team manager with various duties throughout the season, and you may be required to attend meetings and/or instructional sessions/seminars. As a coach, you have more interaction with young people than anyone else in Little League. Therefore, it is important that you understand the goals and virtues of the Little League program in order to effectively communicate them to your players.
Team Parent
As a team parent, you’ll provide support to your child’s team so the manager and/or coach can focus on the kids. Your main role is to serve as a parent liaison and facilitator of the league activities. This includes tasks like maintaining the team roster, organizing post-game snacks, assisting with picture day and other league events, organizing manager/coach's gifts along with the end-of-season party. Team parents might be asked to help maintain order in the dugout as well.
